Dr. Kacie Deters joined the faculty at UC Los Angeles as Assistant Professor of the Department of Integrative Biology and Physiology.

 

Dr. Ariana Stickel is now Assistant Professor at SDSU in the Department of Psychology

 

Drs. Ariana Stickel and Hector Gonzalez were featured in the news for their work on obesity & cardiovascular health on cognitive decline in Latinos

 

Dr. Angela Gutierrez has been appointed as Assistant Professor at Ohio University

 

Dr. Tala Al Rousan was awarded a pilot grant from ARCH at UCSF to investigate the impact of encampment on aging refugees

 

Dr. Stickel was interviewed by medicalresearch.com regarding her paper on Hearing Sensitivity, Cardiovascular Risk, and Neurocognitive Function: The Hispanic Community Health Study/Study of Latinos (HCHS/SOL). You can read her written interview here.

 

AD-RCMAR Scientists, Drs. Deters, Parada and Schiaffino, were selected as members of the RCMAR Scientific Advisory Board. Scientists representing RCMAR/AD-RCMAR programs from across the country were selected to address issues of racial injustice and to promote the careers of RCMAR/AD-RCMAR scientists. 

 

Dr. Zlatar was awarded an R01 from the National Institute on Aging to study Subjective Cognitive Decline and Objective Cognitive Trajectories in Older Hispanics/Latinos

 

Dr. Diaz was featured in the RCMAR Coordinating Center’s weekly Scientist Highlights! She is Assistant Professor at the University of North Carolina in the Department of Neurology.
